IBPS Clerk Result [ 2025 ]

This article will serve as a quick reference to the IBPS Clerk exam, vacancies offered, eligibility as well as the IBPS Clerk Result. 

The first step towards preparation is understanding the competition for the IBPS Clerk exam. 

In 2019, about 30.54 lakh students appeared for the exam, of which a mere 17.2% percent of the students cleared the said exam. 

These students were then subjected to a competitive examination for the 12,075 vacancies offered by the IBPS. 

However, there are 19 banks participating in the IBPS Clerk recruitment- Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Corporation Bank, Dena Bank, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, Syndicate Bank, UCO Bank, Union Bank of India, United Bank of India and Vijaya Bank. 

It is therefore imperative that the candidates develop a strategy and understand the important aspects of the exam. 

IBPS Clerk Vacancies

The IBPS is yet to release the official notification for IBPS Clerk 2020 recruitment. It is to be noted that the vacancies are offered bank-wise as well as state-wise. 

Hence, we advise that the candidates verify the vacancies according to their preferences before registering for the exam. 

IBPS also has a provision for candidates to apply intra-state in case the number of vacancies in a preferred state is less.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility

IBPS has set certain eligibility criteria for the candidates taking the IBPS Clerk examination. 

The candidates must possess these qualifications for a smooth selection process. 

Age

The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.09.1991 and no later than 01.09.1999 (both dates are inclusive). Therefore, 

Minimum age- 20 years

Maximum age- 28 years. 

Educational Qualification

A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized Government University of India, or any equivalent qualification recognized as by the Central Government.

Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory.

Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/ UT is preferable.

Citizen of India

Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan

Tibetan Refugee who arrived prior to 01/01/1962

A person of Indian origin migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma(Myanmar), Vietnam, or East African countries of the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire, or Ethiopia to permanently settle in India

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 

The IBPS Clerk exam is divided into 3 sections. The candidates have to secure the sectional cut-offs along with the overall cut-offs to move to the next stage. 

IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern

Once the candidate qualifies for the prelims examination, he/she will be eligible for the mains examination. The main exam pattern is explained as under:

The aspirants who will be successful in clearing the IBPS Prelims will be eligible to appear for the Mains. The Mains is then followed by document verification.

The results are announced once the board conducts the written exam for both Prelims and Mains.
